I'm sure a lot of people wonder why I added gluten free to this recipe because they would assume it's naturally gluten free.

If you thicken the gravy, it's likely your pot roast is not gluten free.

I add some packaged sauce and gravy mixes that are gluten free.

I bought a name brand, not thinking about it, and it turns out the number one ingredient is wheat. Oops!

So, I want people to know that the items I'm adding to enhance the flavor are truly gluten free.

I hope you enjoy this meal as much as we do.

Ingredients

32 ounces Beef Stock

1-2 cloves garlic, minced

1-2 tbs Worcestershire Sauce

Pepper to taste

1 lb Baby Carrots

6 medium potatoes quartered

2 1/2 pound chuck roast

Onion powder and garlic powder to taste

2 large onions cut into big chunks

4-6 celery ribs cut into large bite sized pieces

2 packages of Simply Organic Brown Gluten Free Gravy Mix and

1 package of Simply Organic Gluten Free Mushroom Sauce Mix

1 package of frozen green beans

Tools

6 quart or larger Crock Pot

Spoon for stirring

Knife for cutting veggies

Cutting board

Instructions

Add 32 ounces of Beef stock to a Crock Pot on low

Season with garlic of your choice. I prefer garlic confit. You can get the recipe here

Add ground black pepper to taste and the baby carrots so it can start to cook while you prep the rest of the recipe.

Wash and cut the potatoes into chunks and add them to the Crock Pot.

Nestle a 2 1/2 pound chuck roast into the Crock Pot and season with garlic and onion powder.

If you're not sure about the amounts, start with a tablespoon of each.

.Next, cut two large onions into chunks and add to the pot, then 4-6 celery ribs into chunks and add them as well.

Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4-6, but if you want the most tender meat that just falls apart, use the longer, low cooking method.

An hour to a half hour before the meal is done, mix in 2 packages of Simply Organic Brown Gravy Mix and 1 package of Simply Organic Mushroom Sauce Mix.

Stir and then add 1 package of frozen green beans.

When the green beans are to the softness you like, serve and enjoy.
