Our Easy Family Chili Recipe with a secret fiber booster
Oct 03, 2025
Chili is one of my family's favorite comfort meals, especially when the weather cools down. My husband said he could eat my chili every week, and every time I make it, he happily takes the leftovers to work for lunch. there are several things I love about this recipe.
First is that it's an easy recipe to adapt if you're missing an item or don't particularly like something in the ingredient list. Second, if you use the cooker I use in this video, it's a one pot meal that goes in the dishwasher when you're finished. This cooker is what I would buy if I were looking to replace it.
Lately, we're looking to add more fiber to our diet, and the addition of the lentils has really helped in that area, plus it stretches the meal to more servings, and this chili freezes really well if you want to make it for a later meal. Try it and let me know how you like it.

1 can tomato sauce

1 cup favorite salsa
¼ cup taco seasoning (use my mix)
